Chemetall to Highlight Non-Phosphate Gardobond AP® 9811 Aluminum Finishing and Anodizing Technologies at FABTECH 2016

Chemetall, a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of state-of-the-art specialty chemical products and global business unit of Albemarle Corporation, will exhibit at the FABTECH 2016 show on November 16 - 18, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. At the show, Chemetall will showcase its Advanced Surface Pretreatments, Aluminum Finishing, and Anodizing technologies. Please visit us at Booth C51043.

“We’re excited to return to FABTECH in 2016 and share Chemetall’s outstanding “Cut It. Clean It. Coat It. Control it. Conserve It. ®” product portfolio - developed to improve overall process efficiency and thru-put, performance, and to reduce operational costs required in today’s surface finishing and fabrication industries,” said Suresh Patel, Business Manager, Surface Treatments.

Chemetall will highlight its non-phosphorous pretreatment for 3-stage spray washers. Gardobond® AP 9811 is a liquid, phosphorus-free, dry-in-place pretreatment that enhances the performance of subsequently-applied organic liquid and powder coatings. Multi-metal Gardobond® AP 9811 reacts with steel, aluminum and zinc substrates to enhance paint adhesion and corrosion resistance properties. Gardobond® AP 9811 is free of any regulated heavy metals. A minimum of three stages is required for this high performing product which is compatible with mild steel equipment. This easy-to-use product may help improve customers’ cycle time, yield, and capacity utilization.

Suresh Patel, Business Manager, Chemetall North America will present on Thursday, November 17 at 10:30 am – 12:30 pm on how to “Effectively Manage Transitions from Conventional Phosphates to Advanced ‘Phosphorus-Free’ Pretreatments”. This presentation will highlight Management of Change (MOC) steps, to insure that the proper considerations are addressed before changes are implemented.
