Chemetall receives once again “accredited supplier” award from Airbus

For the second year in a row the global surface treatment supplier demonstrated best-in-class performance and was awarded the Airbus ‘accredited supplier’ award honoring the company’s continuous commitment to provide top quality products, excellent delivery performance including on-time deliveries, advanced production capacities and efficient processes.

“We are very proud having once again accomplished the demanding Airbus SQIP requirements in 2015”, says Hendrik Becker responsible for the Global Aerospace Segment at Chemetall. Ronald Hendriks, Quality Manager and SQIP Coordinator, adds “This prestigious quality award honors our continuous team efforts striving for excellence in our daily activities for Airbus. Until today only four out of 58 key Airbus suppliers have achieved this ‘accredited supplier’ status. “

The aim of the SQIP program is to progress the major strategic suppliers of Airbus towards the goal of industrial excellence with regard to its on-time delivery and quality targets. Every year the performance of each key supplier is reviewed and either verified or – in case of non-performance - rejected.

Over the past 25 years, Chemetall and Airbus have established a long and excellent business relationship. As a preferred supplier of Airbus, the global surface treatment company offers advanced technologies, which meet the highest aerospace specifications. From its production plant in Langelsheim, Germany, and its French production site in Soissons, Chemetall supplies a wide range of aircraft sealants, corrosion inhibiting compounds, cleaners and other pretreatment technologies to various Airbus sites in Europe.
